More About Mira
The short version is on the home page — here's the rest of the story, plus a little about life when I'm not behind a camera.
I'm so glad you're here.
I take lots of photos, give a lot of "wait, stay exactly like that," and will absolutely tell you if a pose looks weird.
I love making photos that feel polished but not staged or forced. You don't need to know how to pose, you don't need to be comfortable in front of a camera, and you definitely don't need to spend the whole session worrying what's next. That part is my job.
I've always loved capturing the world the way I see it. My first "modern" dabble into photography was during my sophomore year of college, when I brought my dad's old Nikon to a rally in Washington, D.C. I spammed the shutter button way too many times and edited the photos on my phone, but it lit a fire inside me. I loved holding the camera and using it to capture my view of what was in front of me.
Throughout my time at University of Maryland, I took three years-worth of graduation portraits (in addition to receiving dual degrees in Journalism and Public Health Science last May). Photography is my way of connecting with people and I'm able to showcase everyone's natural light and beauty through real connections and comfortable conversations.
I'm thrilled and honored that you're interested in working with me. Please reach out via email - there's no such thing as a bad question!
